Sunday Night Bike Ride Portraits: A Look Inside Buffalo’s Bicycle Subculture
Sunday Night Bike Ride Buffalo
The Sunday night bike ride is a mass bicycle gathering and ride around Buffalo every Sunday night, which takes place mostly in the summer. College-aged kids meet at the West end of Allen street in Allentown, and wait to ride around the city of Buffalo in a large group. It’s a great way to explore Buffalo, meet new people, and enjoy those amazing Buffalo summer nights.
Portrait Project
Buffalo has a unique bicycle subculture and I wanted to document the individuality of the Sunday night bike riders. I hired a drone photographer to get unique views of the mass never before seen, and they are absolutely stunning! Check them out at the end. I would *love* more eyes on this project, so if you enjoyed it, please share it on social media! These portraits and drone shots were photographed on Sunday, September 2, 2018 in Allentown, Buffalo, NY.

October 29, 2018 at 12:53 pmI stumbled upon this bicycle ride by mistake. Riding through downtown Buffalo heading home and seen all these bicyclists gathering I had to join in. 67 years old I toured 16000 miles in 14 months, 4 corners of the US including Alaska. I stumbled upon a new life for my retirement. Thanks to all the young people eccepting me. Casey Zmich, Google this name my story will come up with the first radio interview with MPR RADIO This is Marfa, TX. Public Radio.
