Allentown Buffalo

When I moved to Buffalo from Niagara County, I chose to reside in Allentown which is the historic district right outside of downtown Buffalo. Allentown is known for its community of artists, for its embrace of bohemian, hipster and gay culture, and for the civic commitment of residents to the historic and aesthetic sensibilities of the neighborhood.

When I was coming out, Allentown was the only place to experience any kind of gay culture. I’m still living in the heart of Allentown and over the years I started referring to its residents as “Allentownies”. It may sound pretentious but if you’ve spent any kind of time in Allentown, you know it’s far from anything extravagant. I designed and created a limited amount of these stickers and have slapped these little babies around the neighborhood and inside some of my favorite dive bars on Allen Street. Have you seen ’em?!
